After 20 years in the airline industry, a career change was in order; I hung up my wings and high heels and traded them in for tails and tennis shoes.   South Bay’s cutting edge and growing facility, has offered me an exciting and challenging career that has brought my love of pets and people together;  good bye pretzels, peanuts and pop…hello orthopedics, A.I.’s and endoscopies.

I am married to my husband Justin. We have been married since December of 2008 and have lived in the Olympia area since then, but I grew up in Seattle. We have 3 horses, a cat, and a puppy. I love working at the vet for now, but in the long-term future I hope to go back to school and become a high school English teacher. Other than working with the animals, I enjoy reading and writing, graphic design, riding my horses, and spending time with my husband watching movies and going on road trips. I have loved working at South Bay and I hope to be around for a long time.

I've been working here at South Bay as a Veterinary Assistant since 2007. I got started in the veterinary field after taking the pre-vet tech class at new market skills center since then I've gained a lot of knowledge and skills in the field while working at South Bay. I just started going back to college this year to try to figure wout what I want my future carrer to be. I have a lot of hobbies such as riding quads and dirtbikes, building and racing tuner cars with, drifting and car shows, camping as well as sketching and painting. I also like to spend time with my 2yr old daughter Kaila, and my cattle dog "Gerr" and My German Shepherd "Ally Capone".
