Please Welcome Dr. Aitken!

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Aitken as the newest member of our veterinary team — though she’s certainly no stranger to South Bay! Many of you may recognize her from her four years here as a veterinary assistant while completing her studies.
A lifelong Pacific Northwesterner, Dr. Aitken has called Olympia home for most of her life. She earned both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Washington State University and is excited to continue her journey at South Bay, where her career in veterinary medicine first began.

Her professional interests include surgery, preventive medicine, dermatology, and ultrasonography. Above all, she is passionate about nurturing the human–animal bond and making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Aitken enjoys playing tennis, caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her beloved (and slightly spoiled!) dogs.
